well i am new to this site but i have been keepin fish for quite some time now. I also have a 75 gal. i have 1 wolf fish about 4" long, 1 freshwater barracuda about 5", a needle nose about 7" and a sabertooth/tusk barracuda/payara about 5". they all seem to get along good the only problem i have is my needle nose pickin on my freshwater barracuda but thats it. i live in colorado where mikes killer fish is located and i personally dont recommend buying fish there the guy is very high on prices. that is where i bought my payara for 80$ and when i went to fish palace also here in CO they were only selling them for 40$ and on top of that it was hard to get him to eat it took about a week for him to eat and i can usually get my fish to eat within a couple of days. So personally i would try other places first. just my advice.

depending on your location prices will vary. In new york youd be getting ripped off for a common wolf for that amount of money. If you feed them live their growth rates will be quick, if you get them to accept sinking foods and pellets growth might be stunted, but this would be totally against the nature of the wolffish in general. You can try live plants but they will probably just get ripped out during nocturnal hunting, better bet might be some fake heavy-weighted plants once it gets larger. Keep one per tank and choose tankmates carefully, wolfs can be quite a handful.

my wolf fish eats market shrimp.:D
He grew from 4" to 10" in about 3 1/2 months.

people say their wolf fish "moves around at night"....well sure my wolf fish moves around at night if by moving around you mean scooting over here, sitting there for a half hour, scooting back over there, sitting there for 10 minutes or so,scooting across to the driftwood and kicking it there for a good hour.................................:grinno:

as far as tankmates I'm thinking about natives.sunfish or a SMB gets taken out and I won't be as bummed as if pbass gets taken out.
