How frequent do you do water changes ?

I do 25% every 3-4 days on all my tanks. And about 20% on my pond every week. 8ft Pearls of Paradise is no joke. Freakkin 800 gallons. The 300 gal Rubbermaind is like nothing compared to it. Here's the crazy part, I use 5 gallon buckets for all my water changes. It keeps me in shape. LOL

Think water change should depend on tank size and the amount of fishes in it. If only 1 small fish in a 400 gal tank then 6 months 20% change or just top up should be ok. Otherwise, on average should be 20% per week.

Agreed on tank size . But it also depends on the kind of fish you keep . Discus and Rays do well on massive water changes.

I do a 50% every sunday

My dad think its to much, he thinks i should do one every month to 6 weeks

says one day im gonna end up killling the fish.

I'm pretty sure all fish do well on massive water changes. Unless you know of fish that thrive in DOC and nitrate-loaded waters.
