  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
FishRoomPlus and Tangledup in Cichlids.I've dealt with both and got great results, check the the vendors forum for more info.

It's funny...I never really noticed them until I joined MFK and I went to my lfs (been going for years) and saw some. I asked them how long they've had them and they told me they've had them for almost a year.

i've found dats randomly in the philly but only a handful of times. what stores usually carry Dats in PA/NJ that are a close drive?

There was a fish store in philly's chinatown that had lots of large dats. I was really surprised to find them in there. The place really wasn't labeled as a fishstore. The owner didn't seem to good with english. Has anyone else seen this place?

Can you describe this place? It might be a new store that I'll have to check out.

The fishstore in Philly's Chinatown is kind of non-descript. I can't even remember if there was a sign out front. It was a small store. Very unusual because it seemed to have only Datnioides and several different species of CA cichlids and all of the fish were larger size than what is typically sold (at least 5-6 inches and many larger). HE had at least 4 tanks of Datnioides. The other strange thing about that store was that there were no prices on the tanks. I tried asking the owner some questions and he didn't seem very friendly. I was with a chinese friend at that time and he told her in chinese that they were closed. I don't remember which street it was on. I have been meaning to go back and look. Fortunately, Chinatown is not that big only two or three blocks long. Does anyone else know of this place?

When you said that there are no prices on the tanks and that the guy was not very friendly, one place came to mind.It must be Yoo Longs, the store has moved to another location as it now seems to be in the basement of another store but it has stairs on the outside leading down into it.He will warm up a little once he sees you a few times but then he seems to have only fish ,no supplies and an obsession with green terrors and parrots so numerous visits arent really feasible.I didnt see any dats the last time I was there.

It seems like every LFS in the northeast are selling NTT and small AT. No LFS around getting any indos so im assuming not that time of year yet.
