How has the coronavirus affected your personal life?

I’ve noticed I’m getting less tolerant of other people’s bs due to this virus. I’ve also noticed a lot of old people not wearing the mask which I find ironic.

Hello; First I will report a situation as it was reported today. Seems a man in Florida was tested and was positive for covid19. He has died and was added to the death total for covid19 deaths. Sounds ok so far. Problem is he actually died during a motorcycle accident. The report today was not clear if his death will remain on the covid19 roll. Goes back to a question raised some weeks ago. That being the difference between dying from covid19 and dying with covid19.
Seems pretty likely he must have had a fairly mild or asymptomatic case of the disease since he was out riding a motorcycle. This is a guess, of course, on my part.
One ramification comes to mind. To me it is the continuing suspicion of official data this sort of thing generates. I do not know if poor counting is wide spread or if it is only a small sort of error that is soon corrected. This sort of story has been around for some time. Months ago there were reports of deaths being assigned to covid19 if the medical authority merely suspected the patient had covid19. These counts are used as the basis for extensive actions taken by state and local authorities and some businesses. My preference is for an accurate count. I can forgive unintended mistakes if accurate revised counts are eventually given.

It seems pretty apparent people are voting with their feet so to speak. For a large number of people the lockdowns and self isolation stuff is over. Even the few of us active in this thread have been reporting our own observations and the TV news shows even more. We are in a come what may stage due to decisions made by the masses of individuals. I do not know if problems with official data is a major reason for people being out and about without taking precautions. I do not have a good clue on that.

A VP at the bank I use told me today he is almost ready to get the infection so it would be over with or something like that. I understand. I wear a mask when out and about still but it is getting old. We had the hottest day of the summer so far at temps in the high 90's for all of my area and a few places touched 100 I think. Plus it is very humid. I could feel my face sweating under the mask and it was very uncomfortable. If I somehow knew I would I would come out the other side of the covid19 illness it would be tempting to get it over with. Trouble is an old guy like me has poor odds of making it and also poor odds of not having long term effects if I did survive. So I sweat in a mask.

Look what video I found.

Hello; I watched the video. Interesting. I guess some folks have years worth of TP stored away. At some point sales will crash. The companies have a dilemma. They can spend the money to ramp up production to meet current demand and some time later will have expensive overcapacity and perhaps an overflowing warehouse. maybe??
The thing around me I have noticed bare shelves about is alcohol. Still plenty of hydrogen peroxide.

We've noticed it too, but nobody wanted to say anything.
I guess we're getting more tolerant. ?‍♂️

I find some peoples intolerance of intolerant behaviour intolerable. Lol. Try saying that fast without killing someone with your false teeth. Lol.

I find myself taking a lot more random fish photos these days.

And I’m spending more time dealing around on the Internet.

Went hiking for the first time in 8 months today. Many people in the nature reserve but all had masks with them and it was not congested. Really had fun, found several egg eating snakes:

The last time I posted in this thread (little beyond mid June), Panama had 23,000 cases.
This morning the posting count was 53,000 +, after a brief opening, and subsequent re-closing, and a few days back, the government sent out an admission that they had mishandled the initial stages, not reacting to the seriousness of the disease fast enough, and would try to do better.
Interesting to see a government take responsibility for its mistakes as opposed to ...............
