NZ's update for last 24 hours, 0 new cases, 0 deaths. (That 1 Confirmed is a probable case from a week or two ago that was confirmed)

They have canceled our Saturday newspaper. I still get The Bee to wrap garbage and read the funnies, but we'd be better off if people didn't read most of what they print. I guess McClatchy publishing is bankrupt, having filed in Feb. They were 1 Billion in debt.

I'm amazed they still publish at all.

That's a lot of money. I don't think our local newspapers are doing the rounds either.
 
The things I could do with a billion dollars.....

And yesterday was zero cases, so that's 2 days in a row. We might drop to lockdown level 2 next wednesday. I still expect a second wave, but 0 cases for several days in a row is promising. And given the few cases and deaths probably the faster we drop the better.

We had one new case and one more death. The paper is trying to keep people scared, but it isn't easy with so few victims. We are having more drug OD patients than covid.

All I know is that I will be damned if I go to the graduation on the 27th.
 
I never actually graduated high school with a class. I wasn't actually a senior yet anyhow.
I got handed a diploma in the principal's office, and he congratulated me on finishing a year early. No black gown and mortarboard. No Pomp and Circumstance. I did go to the after grad party though. We bought Canadian beer in the boat in Rainy River Ontario, and went walleye fishing on Lake of the Woods.

45 days home... lots of time to work on fish....
