Gas prices are killing me along with groceries and tuition going up. Im 23 and the most exciting part of my week is my off day, Sunday. Can't go out on the weekend (broke), can't go camping (gas) and havent taken my wife out in forever. Can wait until the economy betters itself

People need to spend money for that to happen. The down turn has done nothing... kept the house next to from selling... but that will happen within the next few months...

exactly
i do new construction, wait, let me fix that,i "did" new construction till this happened.
now i do remodels and side jobs
:irked:
hope it picks up this summer

I had two jobs.. now only one.. Applying daily for a new second..

Gas... doesn't bother me.. I pay 0.63 per gallon CNG ;)

It's been rough on the bills.. but hey.... My wife is going back to work part time. :( And I will soon have a second job again..

the economy isn't what was killin me :D Even when it was good... I spent too much money :D

We went to eat at a fav restaurant the other night and my awesome 13 dollar meal from 2 years ago is now 19 bucks.Gas is 3.55 for low grade and the electric bills are like 3 to 500 per month in some 3 bedroom homes here. The restaurant thing pisses me off though,lol.13 - 19 bucks in 2 years, its fn pasta man.Kiss my hairy middle finger.

I feel for both the construction/trades guys.

Everything is up... :nilly: For me the bummer is the job field right now. Second would be prices on gas/everything else. Sucks because it has a domino affect on everything..

But hey.. Everyone gets $600 in may.. paying that bill that's past due, buying food, along with buying gas and all the other stuff you had to be lean on to make it month to month will jumpstart the economy right?

How 'bout changing free trade.. controlling outsourcing..

Gas prices aren't going to stop rising, which is affecting everyone's spending habits and discretionary income . Which coupled with it being an election year, the news media predicting doom and gloom on a daily basis, isn't helping the recovery.....I've been through a few of these inflationary recession periods, they do turn around.

Googling shows the following recessionary periods in the U.S. since 1985

July 13, 1990-September 4, 1992

February 1, 1995-November 17, 1998

May 16, 2000-June 25, 2003
