I was wodering how long a 1 inch rbp can stay in a 20long ?

1 rbp? with a bare bottom 20 long lots of w/c's and no overfeeding, 4-5 months then i would upgrade to somethng bigger, its just one where talking about right?

Probably till like 5"-7". That is saying that only he is the only fish in there. And there should be good filtration as piranhas are very messy eaters.

Why not just go with a Serra instead of a Pygo?

until it reaches about 4-5 inches but start saving and finding room for a bigger tank.

20 gal not sure never tried it. I would suggest tho rather than 1 50% water change weekly make it 2 20% water changes every 3 days to help clear out the urines and any excess nitra..........probably be a good time to try to gett'em on prepared foods rather than feeders, that'll help to also cut down on the nitra.Your gonna have to be super johnny on the spot-disease gets in that 20 and your baby P will be dead before you knew it was even sick. If you can get a larger tank it'll make things much easier on both you and the fish.

It's been my experience that adult P's are easy to keep - it's the young'ens that are the real bugger.

it would be just one what type of serra then ?

they have gold piranhas at my lfs for 30 i think i might get one of those insted
