How long can a 6" Pbass go without eating?

i dont know about scallops.. stick with the shrimp for now.. if you could pick up a few feeders .. alternate between feeder, shrimp, fedder, shrimp, shrimp, shrimp.. if you dont have anywhere to put them.. sometimes they will live for a couple of days if you leave them in the bag and put them in the fridge.

lol yea.. i figured it is just easier to start with shrmp.. my cichla were always picky

Not if you buy them in bulk. I can get them for $2.00/lbs here if I buy a 3 lbs bag. Jumbo and medium shrimp are a little less. Krill is $14/lbs and only available at petco.

I like to switch things up... worms, bugs, spirulina disks, shrimp, krill, scallops, and white fish. I feed pellets to the smaller fish, but the big ones get bigger foods. I was thinking of using massivore but it seems so small.

say man switch to frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp and silversides, also try cut pieces of fresh fish because mine do not touch pellets but loves these! oh yeah can easily go a week with out eating because i feed mine about once every two to three days .:headbang2

I spoke a little too soon. Two of them ate some shrimp. The other two are still sucking wind. A couple more days and I will toss in a couple feeders and then alternate feeders and shrimp one at a time.

They are more skittish than my Frontosa which I thought wasn't possible. Will adding some floating plants calm them down a bit???

lol sucking wind lol.... they are only skittish for a little while and when they grow out of that stage there is nothing you can do to spook them.. just be patient
