keep the bag in the tank for 15 mins then add water to the bag wait for 5 mins add water to the bag wait for 5 mins repeat once more and then slowly release the fish into the tank

10-15 mins.. By that time usually the new fish's water temp is about the same. If it's something I picked up in a bucket and I know is hardy I don't acclimate..

For my freshwater fish I usually acclimate for about 30 minutes.

I acclimate my saltwater fish longer (usually an hour) on a dripper system...some of my inverts have been in the dripper for even more than an hour.

at most 30 minutes. i usually pick fish up on my way home from work so ill let them float while i take a shower and get dressed

i drip acclimate especially for sensitive fish until the ph in the container is the same as the ph in the tank. it can take hours depending on how different they are.

This is the way I handle all my fish when adding them to the tank. Get a lenght of air hose. Get a syphon going, and then tie a knot in it. Adjust the flow until theres about a 1 drip every second. Let the water double, then remove half. Let it double again, remove half... Repeat. This can take awhile.

depends on the fish. More sensitive or expensive fish, I take no risks, drip acclimating for at least 45 minutes. Most fish, 10-15 minutes is fine
