i usally do about 35min if i get a fish over 15$ because thats alot for me. other wise for feeders i do like 10min.

I usually drip acclimate them first for about 45 mins +. I buy expensive fish so I take my time then once they are acclimated to the water I place them in large 3mm bags and float them in the tank so the tankmates see them and make sure everything is peaceful between them. I have had plenty of experiences with just releasing the fish without floating just dripping and it ended badly almost everytime. I do that for about 20-30 mins so I do about 75 minute of acclimation. I mean if it is a $25 fish it's not a big deal I will usually float it and add tank water every 10 minutes until I do about 3 cups of tank water.

USUALLY 15-30 MINUTES but it depends on the species a bit too.. and also what kind of weather and how long and how far we have traveled ..because i hate to keep them in the bag too long .. which to me is just as bad as not long enough.

I buy most of my fish from the internet, and when they get to my house the bag water is always freezing. So I drip acclimate for an hour - an hour and a half

Local LFS is 5 minutes away. Float for 15 and drip once for 5 minutes then pour them out of the bag. If was to order one I would porb do it in my 3 gallon water change bucket for at least an hour.

i usually do 10-15 minutes. i keep hearing people say they drip or just pour them in and i've heard that you're not ever ever supposed to mix two different tank waters. am i misunderstanding what everyone is talking about when the say drip?
