After reading into it more and looking into the information in Chompers post I have decided I am wrong. I admit I was biased. As far as my original post I did mean to post useful information despite my evidence showing its harmful I still came to the wrong conclusion. After more research I realise no matter what its not really a good idea. I actually have a lot more information to share. Unfortunately I am at work and don't have the time at the moment but tonight ill be able to post some more unbiased information. Also to Chompers if I can find those links post them.

Chompers and Dr . Joe have that affect on threads. Thank god for these guys :)

Thanks fellas ,
Taylor

The links would be awsome. I'd like to save some of them for later use.

A lot of the information that you found was really good stuff. Unfortunately with the internet, anyone can post anything so many times we have to weed through a lot of junk to find the good information. It's all about how to recognise good information from the bad information. There is a really good critical thinking book written by a guy named Bell. I can't recall his first name or the name of the book, but a search on Amazon will turn up something.

So say you have a big tank, say 300+ and you change 70% of the water once a week. You guys are assuming its safe to train 70% dump the correct amount of prime in, then fill up and the prime will stay active through all 210gallons of new water?

I think you came in a little late. Or maybe I misunderstood your post what do you mean ?:)

Say you have a 300 gallon tank, and you perform 70% water changes, or 210gallons. People are saying to treat the tank before fill up. So if I were to dose the tank via 300gallons, the prime would not lose effectiveness by adding 210 gallons?

No it wouldn't lose its effectiveness. However it would injure your fish... Read Dr Joe and Chompers posts :)

Or how about if you were in a room where a canister of nerve gas and a canister of the antidote were both released into the room at the same time. Would you get the hell out or does the effort to leave out weigh the risk of staying?

Your fish can't leave.

Im confused, so dosing a tank then filling up is bad and I am better off getting a 55gallon bin, treating it in there then pumping it into the tank 4 times?
