I have been keeping tanks of my own for about 8 years now or since I was 16, and my dad always had at least a 10 gal setup. He used to breed fancy guppys when I was a baby until we had an ice storm that knocked out the power for a week and the tank froze solid. Since then he just kept random fish. I would say my IQ is about 1.164

unfortunately ive got no pics at the moment as my digital camera is busted at my stepdads house. However i can use my phone to get some decent pics. Only problem is, the tank. Is kinda overrun by algae at the moment. We have well waterthere thats incredibly rich in phosphates. If you still wanna see it, pm me and ill get some pics

how horrible is that...sorry for that...i am petrified of ice storms.. because the power is gone for so long.. i have a generator now.. i cannot go through that anymore...Amazon_Addict;3322034; said:
I've only been keeping fish seriously for just over 2 years......and with the same one LM Bass during that time. I've also had a few plecos during that time. One died of natural causes, one died when I accidently hit him during a tank cleaning and the 3rd one is alive and kicking.

For my 7th birthday I got my first 10 gallon aquarium setup. That was in '87 and I've been keeping one or more active fish tanks up and running since then.

I have been into fishkeeping for about 8 years... i am still learning and feel like i always will be... having different species really keeps things broad... so i have not narrowed in on any one species where i can say i have total expertise... my fishkeeping IQ is about a 7.. i have so many areas of fishkeeping to discover yet... i love it... always learning... what about you... ?
Less than a year this time, but I had fish as a youngster for several years. Definitely still learning. I don't know much lol! My fishkeeping IQ is growing, but it is still pretty low.
