ive had tanks that were "mine" (i didnt take care of them, my parents did) since i was 2-ish, i started really caring for my fish since i was 5-ish. im 15 now so about 10 years
About 9 years now. I never really got into fish because I had too many reptiles. I got caught with a ton of reptiles in an apartment I lived in (so they weren't allowed, so what ) and had to ship them out. Fish tanks, however, were allowed, so I set one up....then another....then another.....then another. Been that way since. Funny thing was, the landlord then tried to jump me about all the tanks and that I was going to have to get rid of them as well, because I needed to get proper insurance to cover them (she was a btch). I then proceeded to hand her my insurance policy, and show her my middle finger........now I own my house, and still have a landlord limiting my tanks (wife)
Started sometime after highscool heh so lets say about 13years, would have been more but lets say early burn-out and a buddy who got me into the hobby didn't know what he was doing either lol
For the last 6-7 years with the help of MFK i'm much better at keeping fish and know what i can get away with hehe ugh
So far I'm the only one that answered 28 years, woo-hoo!
I'm turning 36 this month, I got my first tank in second grade. Nobody else in my family has ever kept fish, so I don't know where it came from...
During that time I've been without fish for 8 months, when I was 16. I went away as an exchange student to Mexico and had to sell my first Silver Aro
Since then I've kept at least 100 gallons of aquariums going, even while going to college. I may not have the most tanks or the biggest fish these days, but I'm no Newbie!
