I've been keeping the same type of set-up since the 90's. This tank itself(75) I've kept since about 2011. The oldest fish I have is a L001 Pleco that I got back in 2010.
How long until you get bored?

Maybe I have not been in the hobby long enough to get bored, or maybe it's always planning or setting up something new. I have gone from 10 gallons to 1200 set up and another 800 in the works since I started five years ago. I rarely get rid of any fish, and the longer I have a fish the more I like it, whatever it is. Of course there are highs and lows in my level of enthusiasm, but I doubt I will scale back in the foreseeable future.There is no real plan or end game, just kinda going with it.
I don't move fish unless they make it obvious that they aren't working in a tank so I'm lucky to get a fish or 2 each year. Since I can't buy fish I loose interest in researching different species unless I'm in a position to purchase them. About once a year I get real bored and rescape one of my tanks, it's going to rain all day tomorrow so I may do a mild rescape just to pass the time.
