How long will it go on??

Give me strength!!
My 18 inch RTG is up to 5 weeks without eating anything. I WANT it on sticks and MS!!
I've stopped the SW 5 weeks ago. I feed my Dats MS every day and the RTG won't even go for that!! I put Tapilar in for the dats and the RTG won't eat it.

I put 4 sticks in daily to try and get it to eat and it just casually swims past.
I know it hungry, its got to be hungry.
Seriously how long can it go without eating. I'm not giving in this time, stupid thing can die if it wants, i can replace it with a SR, i don't mind!!

even my aro i don't feed it superworms for a 4 - 5 days it will pick on the sinking massivores.. really not sure what to say.. 5 weeks is a long period of time..

if its been fed strictly SW up to this point i'd try a transition food like MP or a fillet of fish of some sorts (tilapia etc.) its best if you can alternate foods as well like i feed my comm on a rotation of sw, mp, pellets and krill

Semiadult/adult Aros are pretty strong/hardy, and can go up to 2 months or longer without food

I put both of these in the tank every day for my DATs. I'd have though because the DATs are eating it the RTG would, it just not interested.

It's not always been on SW, i used to feed it crickets and MP. It just won't eat anything now.

TBH it can die IMHO i will not give in. It will be replaced with a SR if it dies.

My 4 year old daughter is less fussy about food than my Aro!!

Have you tried soaking the pellets in garlic? some fish go nuts for it.

LOL Yes, many times before. I've cut open live SW and pushed pellets in to try and get it on to the taste. It spits them out then won't eat SW for fear of getting one with pellets in.

I've tried Masivor Sinking, Hikari Aro Sticks, Ocean Free Arowana Gold..............

Any one want to buy an RTG, Going cheap ok?

5 weeks at that size is nothing. Forget feeding her. Try again in 15 days.
