Let me put it like this. I bought a 2 inch RTC myself and thought he would be ok in my 55 gal oscar tank. three months later he had ate all of the oscars and he was super huge, had to buy a dang kiddie pool for him. Not trying to be mean, just think it through. Find him a good home asap.
This was him at two inches...
three months dude, three months and he had ate the oscars and pleco... just sayin
it isnt right that your publicly punishing me for trying to find a good home for this fish rather then seeing it go to a 10gallon tank in some LFS. excuse me for posting this topic. I will know better next time. I realize now that people browse the forums to release anger on unsuspecting posters. I know my fish is outgrowing my tank. I am trying to do the right thing here by finding it a good home. I wasnt asking you why this fish should not be in my tank. I was asking how long I can keep it in a 10 gallon before I find a good home. Anyone with some common sense might see that. Im done arguing. I dont come here to do that. I come here fore information. I wont be looking at this thread anymore. Thanks for your advice.
Sorry for your problem... Not really u should always look into the fish befre u buy them. I doubt you will ever get 50 bucks for him since you aren't the only one that picked one up and couldnt take care of it. U will b lucky if you can give it away for free
Dang, sorry to hear Birch, that always sucks majorly. swervo513 no one was flaming you dude, just trying to help. we have all made mistakes before and im sure we will make more. Only thing they are trying to say is research. I admit mine was an impulse buy, big mistake on my part, all my other fish paid for it. We live and learn. Back then I didnt know about MFK and the knowledge base of the good people on here. Just try and do the right thing, all anyone wants is the well being of our finned friends. Enjoy the hobby and RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH good luck
Oh the research part is what brought me here and what fueled my love for the monsters.
How many fish do you have left in your 150, if only a few left why not just let him stay in the 150. That will buy you a few more months to find him a new home.
OK, how about a CONSTRUCTIVE post:
Why not get a cheap tub or rubbermaid container to keep him in temporarily until you find a buyer? Easy cheap solution to temporary housing, done it myself lots of times. Good luck.

Thats not a bad idea, I did a cheap walmart brand kiddie pool for mine once he wiped out practically my whole tank. Either way its an affordable temporary solution.
