i'm planning to get some more ichirs for my "new" 75 gallon tank. i have a 4 inch del and 4 inch albino. how many mre bichirs can i fit for life?? might upgrade but it will be in a long time (4years). i'm planning to get a moke, weeksi and tuelgusi from toyin (if the border guards allow me). is that good or should I down grade?? WHAT should I down grade?? Very want the moke, weeksi and the tuel.

IMO, Ornates, Weeksii and Teugelsi should be treated as "lower jaws" when it comes to overall size.
My Weeksii and Teug both grew incredibly fast and big, and IMO would need more than 75g.
And Ornates, I'm sure you already know.

Agree with TGM, so aside from those, I would put in 10 to 15. BUT, you will need at least two cannister filters, sump preferred with plenty of bio media, and a couple 75% water changes per week.

I'll say 5-6 sounds reasonable

thanks guys. so i can have the moke, weeksi and tuel with my albino and del in my 75??

teugs only grow to 14 to 16 inches tops. you can't fit one in a 75?? weeksi grow to around 16 to 18 inches.

Where did you get those sizes? Hopefully not from the primer it may need updating lol

i've seen teugelsi and weeksii hit 20".

14" is going to be your limit for that tank. I'd stick with senegals, dels, palmas sp., etc., and even then, I'd keep the population at 6 or less (10x 14" fish in a 75 gallon is insanity imo, let alone 15).
