How many Africans in my 180?

You just need to be careful about mixing Peacocks with mbuna as the mbuna are a lot more aggressive than the Peacocks.
I have a 180litre tank with around 38 fish in it with breeding taking place. Am just waiting for my Tropheops sp "red cheek" to unload the fry she is carrying. Can't wait to see how many she has as her mouth is rather large. I have her in a breeding net hanging on the side of the tank. The male of this species is quite a fish.
Post some pics once you are up and running.

How often and how much water do you change and how much filteration do you have on your tank SuperG?

I like the bigger haps so it can't be 100. But I think i'll hook up another filter and see what happen's with a few more.

Doing 20% on a weekly basis works quite well. Malawi's are quite fussy about the water and the cleaner and fresher you can keep it the better. Most of my fish spawn straight after a water change.

Scotty I agree I did about 15 percent water change on my 75 gallon every week and they LOVED it after I did a water change and alot of times they did spawn. Pretty neat!

Holy crap! I didnt even know that was possible! I just started getting into africans, I have 1 yellow lab in a 45 high, and I thought that would be about it, I think I may consider a few more. I've been stuck in american cichlids for a while, I forgot how great african setups look, nice setup super g., really nice!
