I would say when you hit the double digits, thats when you start becoming a hoarder of them.

LOL, thanks i just need em to get to 6" and they can go into a bigger tank.

I think you count as a hoarder as soon as you buy the fish just because it is either A) another bichir or B) a purchase made just to cross the fish off a "list" you may have in your possession.

As soon as you're buying to display and they become objects, not pets or friends, you're hoarding. IMHO at least.
