Rosies, Goldies an other coldwater species should never be fed, this is because of their high fat & thiamese content.
Much better to feed are tropicals, these too must be properly quarantined (observation and proactive treatment(s)) or raised.
Feeder are IMO a treat/dessert, to be fed sparingly, a few feeders once a week or less.
I'm not against feeders, I have and probably will feed'em again...
But they pose risks besides just disease/parasites, e.g. injury while chasing.
Much better live alternatives are available, crayfish, shrimp, worms, crickets, mealworms and etc.
Wild caught true piscivores may demand live feeders, but most can be trained to take cut fish, shrimp, worms and prepared foods with time and persistence.
