maybe 2 hours a week between the 5 tanks (10, 30, 55, 60, 75)

I don't have much going on in my tanks. Waiting on the LFS to get in fish that I actually want. However, I do find maintenance therapeutic.

Wow...the results are impressive. 62 people counted in the poll and majority spend only 1-2 hours on tank maintainance. For people that spend 1-2 hours doing tank maintainance, does your tank have the green algae look?:D I need to give my a tank a quick wipe down every 4 weeks to keep any algae from growing on the glass. I'm have a peeve when I see water spots or algae growing on the glass. I need it to be crystal clear so I can see my fish. That's probably why I find myself at the bottom of the poll spending more time cleaning.

In the new year I think I will be doing close to 30 hrs/week once I have all my tanks set up.

As a general rule I probably spend 15-18 hrs a week on my 8 tanks. I do w/c twice a week on my 3 pbass tanks and once a week on the other 5. Add in filter maintenance scooping out old food etc.

all my tanks are crystal clear with the exception of the 75 which has a "tea" look due to tannins but its something the fish enjoy... the outdoor tank was pretty green for a while.. but a waterchange and a uv have taken care of that..

I would vote but the numbers not low enough. I have a 180 gal. and it houses angelfish, silver dollars, knifes. stingray placos. cats. I also have a 72 bow front that houses large discus. The time i spend a week is 0 not counting feeding in 3 months about a half hour. I haven't changed water in 5 years or do I add any chemicals. My readings are pH 6.0 water is soft nitrite 0 ammonia is 0 to 0.25 nitrate runs between 3 to 10

All I have running is a 5g and 38g. 5g is empty and the 38 only has a few feeder platties waiting to be eaten. I don't give the tanks sunlight, so nope- no algae!
