I would like to know how many jars can i have in one tank for the near future and what could happen.
depending on your tanksize, if its 100 u prolly only can get away with 1,if its 1000 u prolly can get away with 100

Some people have ignored advice they received here on MFK and got lucky. Though only a couple of months is a little short to be judging the success of an arowana community. Then there are those who aren't so lucky, like Tony.

Don't do it, after ignoring the advice from others on this forum I went ahead and got 8 jars...... 1st day one jar was attacked by another jar and one eyeball went missing....next day the jar with missing eyeball dead....after that they continued to fight.....missing scales and shreed fins....not so pretty..... well anyways here's a video I had If you wanna see what is going to happen. By the way they were all 4 inches when I got them now they are all in seperated tanks.

Nothing wrong with trying to attempt a community. You just need to be prepared for failure and have the means to separate all the fish and house them individually if need be. That is unless you don't give a crap about the fish's well being and are willing to just replace the dead or maimed fish as needed.

Is a leichardti apart of an asian arowana? are they illegal? cause i never see them for sale in New York City, to be honest all i see is arapaima and the keelah fish once in awhile and other common fish.

lei is not parts of asian arowana family and is legal in US, that fish kinda rare to get like black or afro aro, here in my LFS you can find all type of arowana but the asian

Leichardti are in the same family and genus as the asian arowana. Just a different species and from Australia and not Asia.

x2
Scleropages Leichardti to Scleropages Formosus. ;) :)

depends on tank, if you got a 100g or so 1. if you got anything bigger, you should go with an odd number so that they dont always pick on one anothr. idk if that made sense, here goes, if you only had 2 the dominant one will pick on the weaker, with a third one the bullying decreases. same works with other aros. this is coming from what i observed and from some other people i heard um from

4 inches yes i guess. But try getting the smallest size that won't get killed in your tank by other fish and raise them together with other fish and it'll be good. I'd say leichardti is peacefuller.
