How many litters do u let ur females have?

Much different for me with larger tanks and many more females per tank for males, when one female does not want to mate the male will beat her up abit and then move on to another female. I only seperate when female is badly beaten up or not eating from stress.

i considered setting up a pond, my female is due end of next month. I was thinking of letting her have the pups in the tank then letting him get her prego again then moving her immediatly to the pond, so they will leave her alone and she can have 1 more batch alone with no tankmates.

Would moving her very early in the pregnancy be a bad thing?

i took the divider down last night, the male knocked her up right away. we will see how round 4 goes...
