How many Mbunas can you fit in a 20g long tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
well i love rusties and labs together, but not in a 30 gallon tank... i would go with a 55 gallon minimum and only have about 4 or 5 of each (no more)... you have to keep in mind that yellow labs get around 4 inches long.. and even though rusties dont get that big either they all still need room. i would ditch the red zebras--i have 2 in my 90 gallon and they are constantly chasing the other fish and are more aggressive... and rusties and labs are not as aggressive... then again, this is just what i would do.. dont take it for gospel

when do you plan on getting the bigger tank? and what size will it be? ohhh.. and you must post pics for us all to see!! haha

well bad news on the new tank!i went last night to check it out.Turns out it was a 110 gallon tank when he had told me it was a 150 gallon.i did not buy it i got my hopes up for nothing.i was planning on moving all my SA cichlids there, than moving my mbunas to my 55g tank in the future. im so bumped
