Never saw the point in these. I can get all the poop out of my 125 in less than 2 buckets of water, if im going to spend 3 minutes vacuuming poop I might as well spend 5 minutes vacuuming and doing a 10% water change. My 36 & 40 can be done in less than 1 bucket. I use all of the old water for outdoor plants so it's not wasted plus I'm minimizing nitrates. Another thing to consider is cost, I didn't see what it costs now but remember seeing them around $50, it will probably break before you save $50 worth of water and you have too consider battery costs.

I use mine daily. Why change water if you don't have to? Plus it makes for an easy clean up AFTER you change water.

Also I'm in a tight space. I don't have room to keep buckets of dechlorinated water lying around for more than a day. Therefore I have to do a water change, dump the water, and THEN make the tap. It takes about 10mins to fill EACH AND EVERY 5 gal bucket. This would NOT replace water changes. Additionally I'm 15, 45lbs of water is extremely heavy to lift into the sink. Under me is carpet and every time I spill no matter what.

Do you have a bath tub, much faster and easier than a sink.

I got a marineland magnum 350 bio pro. It actually has an attachment and vac that hook to the filter inlet inside the tank the filter works as a gravel washer. Only problem is its only usable on the tank its running on. Of course you could do it with any canister as long as your vac hose will fit the intake. You will just have to clean the canister more often.

You dont need a expensive one mine was like 19.99 and has lasted 5 years and it is big too

Penn Plax has one that is suction instead of battery powered, it comes with a reusable sock that holds the waste and drops the water, I don't have one but I assume it's better then the battery one, plus its like $15 cheaperImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1341631608.105627.jpg
