Dose for the entire tank volume. Look into buying Seachem Safe - powdered form of Prime. Its more concentrated and last much longer. Ken's Fish sells it & I think Dr Foster & Smith too.

Prime smells like ass... So you know it's good.

I do 50% wc's, on my 55 I use a cap and on the 135 I use two. Never had a problem.

I'm not the one looking to smell ass or anything like that, but to me, prime smells like it helps the fish tank.

The smell of Sulfer or rotten eggs come from sodium thiosulphate that what you smell. It doesn't least long once it's added to the tank it goes away fast.

How is the powder form used? Lasts longer? Why would you want it to last longer if you neutralize the chlorine with the liquid prime it is neutralized permanently no? Just curious as I was just looking into other products that may be cheaper. Think I will stick with prime. I dose full tank when doing 50% water changes.

I was just going to say that. It smells like sulfur.
