So you are treating for 8 mg/l chloramine?
That's twice the maximum residual disinfectant level of chloramine set by the EPA. (max of 4 mg/l)
During the winter in a city with an older water pipe system, going through a 2 year drought, they are constantly leaking or cracking.
We are not at 8 but have tested my water at 5-6 mg/l... Since a cap is good for 4, the extra insurance is worth it .
