How many Oscars in a 240? Stocking suggestions?

I have 4 oscars in ~450gal. Average size would be around 9 inches and at this point im getting away with 20% water changes fortnightly. This keeps my nitrates under 20ppm. Obviously the larger they get, the larger/more frequent my water changes will have to be.

Just some food for thought.

i think the same concerns would be raised if op was talking about any 6 cochlids that could reach over 12 inches. Would be interesting to see nitrate results compared between an oscar and another cichlid of comparable size.

Would love to see updates as your's grow. I been thinking hard about trying it after seeing this tank. Miss my Oscar

Switched the background out to a black background ( but kept the blue one just in case )

I personally think it looks a lot more natural. Opinions?

I like the black better. Also, for a bottom feeders a L600, a L024, or a L025 would look great.
