How many Oscars in a 240? Stocking suggestions?

So I decided to try an experiment. I went and bought 100 oscars and put them in the 240. We'll see how many survive and then we know how many you can keep in a 240 gallon aquarium. Check it out!

Side note, my tank is actually 300 gallons ( 8x2x2.5 ) I thought it looked different from an 8x2x2 so I measured haha. Seller listed it as a 240, but it's 300. They didn't know much about the tank though, as they were selling it for $200.

200 bucks? Wow what a deal. Is it glass or acrylic? Great looking set up

On a real note, I have 7 baby(ish) Oscars currently that are waiting to go in my 700g build, and if I didn't know better I would classify them as loosely shoaling. They are almost always all together, nearly constantly, often fin to fin. TBH they seem much more shoaling than my baby Uaru who are always off doing their own thing away from each other. Obviously your average person doesn't have room to have a group of them, but they seem to love being in groups. That group of water puppies is one of my favorite sets of fish I have! I have 3 Crassipinnis Os, 1 wild Colombian common, and 3 normal tigers.
I have to agree. My oscars love to swim together, as you can see in the photo I posted. Even adults with youngins'
While behavior can change during spawning, I have yet to ever see oscars that were raised together fight each other.
The tank is acrylic. I prefer that on larger tanks or it takes ten people to move it haha. It being acrylic made the aquarium a possibility for me.

That tank is just to small for more than one ...
