How many oscars?

Hi, I am going to get some oscars today and would like to know what is a good number? Space isn't an issue because I have a 120g set up ready and I have a 750g I'm building now. I basically want to know how to keep aggression down, I was hoping to get 4-5 O's, do you think this will work?

What do you suggest? I already have a lot of catfish so I wanted something more mid/top level? I had peacock bass but found them a bit boring... I had an Oscar before and liked how interactive it was.

I would just get one if you liked them before. I have one in my community tank and like how interactive he is as well. My other two fav fish i have in the same tank are my silver arowana and clown knife fish. Get nice and big and would look well in a 750g!
 
If you plan on keeping them in 700 then you can get 6 easy and they won't be as aggressive as some of the "cooler" fish. But if your fine with having only a pair of the cooler fish then sell the cat fish and buy an umbee pair or dovii pair for the 700 I can guarantee you'll love them. The tank might seem a bit much arm but once they start puttin on size you'll see why you'll only want a pair. If course while small you can do somewhat of a comm tank temporarily.

Thanks for all of the replies, I will let you know what I end up getting, no way am I ever getting rid of my catfish lol they are what started all of this haha and idk what the cooler fish are but I am not a massive fan of most cichlids, I'm more of a catfish man and I know oscars arn't the best looking fish but like I said I really liked the personality of my old 1 :)
