How many oscars?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
There will be a dominant one for sure. A large enough group will divide the aggression so nobody gets beat on too bad. Oscars take their beatings like men though so I would t worry too much.

I've seen wild oscars with tons of color. I think it depends on the collection point. The Colombian ones are more green and yellow and very bland IMO. To bad this is the most common. Do some research and im sure you will find some you like. For the most part wild oscars are not expinsive. Good luck, a tank that big will be awesome with a group of oscars.

Ok cool :) I was told that the wild ones had white patterning when juveniles and turned green/black when they matured, I will look into it more, thanks

get other fish if your having that big of a tank!

A dovii, jack Dempsey, and Oscar have very little in common with each other. One is a dumb brute, one is a skittish, although very pretty, hider, and one kills anything that comes near it.
