I joined this forum *after* I got the fish. I still would had gotten at around 10 to fill up my fish tank if I had taken recommendations.

Also not every p keeper will do it everything right the first time. We need to get burned through experience before taking advice on an internet forum seriously.
i actually don't think your stocking level is that bad as long as you plan on upgrading tanks soon or thinning out the shoal, it's a bit overstocked, but at that size, they aren't really cramped. as long as you keep the water params in check, you should be good for now... but i will stress the "for now" part

How's your store doing?

There is no need for flaming. I am sorry I am not a master fish keeper as yourself.

Which question did I ask exactly?

why would you want to keep so many in a 55? Personally i think its a lot cooler to watch fewer healthier fish behave naturally than it is to see a bunch of nipped up or sick fish cramped into a tank together. When i picked up my baby (quater size) red bellies this past monday not a single one had intact fins, its thursday now and all of them have full fins and tails. I have 8 in a well planted 125 gallon, and i couldnt imagine putting more in there. It doesnt seem like you are gonna listen to the advice you've been given, but ill offer my two cents anyway: If you do the right thing and dont overstock your tank you will have a much more enjoyable fishkeeping experience, your fish will be healthier, you'll be less stressed, and you will save a butt load of time and money.
