I have a 110 gallon tank with:
2 red Pacu's about 6 inches each
1 Jack Dempsey - 6 inches
1 Four-lined Catfish - 3 inches
1 Black Shark - 6 inches
1 Pangasius Catfish - 6 inches
1 Green Terror -3 inches
1 Tilapia Buttikoferi - 3 inches
1 Featherfin Syndonis - 3 inches
2 Pleco - 4 - 5 inches

I am getting a silver arowana on monday and Wanted to know if i should remove one of the pacus considering they get pretty huge. the 2 pacus like to swim together but never seem to be fighting. The pacus are pellet trained and since i had them which was about 3 weeks, they have nearly tripled in size. will this growth continue causing "chaos" in my tank?

The tank is 4 feet long by 3 feet high and 2 feet wide.

Thank you

your tank is super overstocked haha..with the pacus..and silver arowana alone..you're goin to have to get a new tank..but hey?..get a bomb filtration if anything..it's your tank..your fish

I would really thing about either
1. get a new BIGGER tank... much bigger
2. sell/trade/give away most of your fish

but as hawilipino said "..it's your tank..your fish"

talk about overstock when i first started i had a 10 gallon with a buttikoferi, channel catfish, oscar, green terror, blood jewel cichlid, kribenesis, pleco, black shark and like 3 africans and they all survived for like 5 months until I got my bigger tanks. The silver arowana may go in a different tank i have another 125 gallon waiting to be re-setup

im with everything said new tank or give some fish away, all bur do what you want its your tank, im sure you wouldn't like to live in a small room with 10 other people the rest of your life, treat the fish proper , we all have dreams of having amazing fish and tanks, but why make a creature suffer for our own happiness?

im going to give you some honest advice GET RID OF ALL THOSE FISH half of them will outgrow your 100 gallon in like 24 minutes .

the pacus will EACH get to 3 feet the arowanna is the same, don't know much about tilapia but i figure atleast 16 inches as well. The pangius catfish's size would depend on the species but atleast 3 feet(smallest possible species), possibly 9 FEET! (largest species).

Keep the green terror and the jack dempsy's and your good (maybe the pleco's too if you have a good filtration system).

And next time reasearch a little before buying.

Im sick of getting these posts about horribly abused fish

You too.....

would you say that about a dog or cat "yeah do what you want cram em into a little crate i don't care as long as your feeding them it's not cruel"

it's cruelty to animals no matter what species it is and people should be in jail for it......

OH and i thought i'd mention this IN BEFORE THE LOCK:lock:

even a 125g won't be big enough for silver aro, you'll need something at least 3ft wide, 7 or 8ft long for them to be comfortable in there in the long run.

well said Zander
