how many running tanks does it take to qualify for a "fishroom"

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'd say depends on the room. I call the room behind my 75 in wall tank the fish room because that's all that's in there is the tank, the sink I added and fish supplies.

I just have one. 8'x4'. It seems like if there is more tank, than room, it should qualify.

In the right circumstances, the answer could be "one" -

For me, it's four. My basement is finished and there is the 500g, 150g, 72g and 60g down there as well as some furniture to relax and watch the fish. Nothing else, so it's the fish room.

I like the sound of that room. I wish we had basements in SoCal.

At one point I had 9, but I've finally got mine narrowed down to 5. But considering I'm a teen with a small room I think I qualify for a fish room because one of the tank alone takes up an entire wall (200 gallon) lol

It doesn't matter how many tanks are in it. If the sole purpose of that room is fish, then it is a fish room.

What about the idea of building a 4000 gallon plus sized tank that is the size of eather a bed room or a bathroom or living room would it be rated a true fish room? Such as I plan to add fish tank that would be the size of my old house's living room that had viweing windows in it that would look into the living room and train room of my new house. So wouldn't the fish tank the size of a regular human sized room be rated a true fish room if it is a room that fish live in?
