Okay, is having fish tanks in your bedroom bothersome at all? noise, lights, etc... I posted a thread like this a month ago and got some response. I guess if you don't clean your gravel or sand like everyday, then bad smelling gas forms and when it bubbles to the top it creates a horrible stench. Have any of you experienced this yourself? Do you keep your room well ventilated?

never had a prob with my tanks smelling they are cleaned once a week and a 20% water change sounds is fine in less u let the water get low and as far as lights just turn them of when your ready to sleep

None of my fish tanks smell...All are clean with clear water. Parents are just paranoid and doesn't really want the fish water to accidentally spill on the carpet....But it's all cool though I have the whole basement basically as my fish room.
