Okay, is having fish tanks in your bedroom bothersome at all? noise, lights, etc... I posted a thread like this a month ago and got some response. I guess if you don't clean your gravel or sand like everyday, then bad smelling gas forms and when it bubbles to the top it creates a horrible stench. Have any of you experienced this yourself? Do you keep your room well ventilated?

i have a 60 and a 29 gallon in my room ... i have never had a problem with my room smellin even though the only widow in my room is blocked by the window AC but its never on ... the noise i have no problem with unless my water is really low but since i do a 20 percent water change every week im fine ...i love waking up to it in the morning and women love it when we are "laying down "....

^^^ says it all. BUT my parents always think their way and only their way is right.....what can I do, I'm lucky enough for them to allow me to stay in this hobby!

I have my tanks in a few different places lol. My 30g african tank is at my ex girlfriends, my 30g oscar growout is at my parents, yes they are BABIES, like very very small. and my 125 is going up at my parents house when the oscars grow out of their tank, which shouldnt be too long. I also have a 10g and a betta at my student housing apartment. lol. They are everywhere..

2 A hospital tank and a quarantine tank. I keep my tanks in the living room theres 5 tanks out there right now and 3 betta 5 gallon tanks with special male betta's

I live in a studio type apartment, so it's all like one big room. I've currently got a 55g, a 20g and a 37g all set up, and i'm looking to get one more probably around 40g. I'm on the second floor, so unfortunately, I can't go much bigger than 55g without getting nervous. The last 40g will probably be all i can do until i move, i just plain don't have room for anymore along the walls or anything.

Girls love my fish though, whenever they come over they go right to the tanks, they especially love the oscar cause he always comes to the top to greet people.

The noise is soothing, IMO. I probably couldn't sleep without my filters running anymore. I just turn the lights off when I go to bed.

I'm jealous of everyone with actual monster tanks in their rooms! One day....
