agree with lemonhead-those of us in healthcare wash (or should! i see some that dont lol... ever!) constantly. i also use paper towels to open bathroom doors (to exit) and my forearms to open public doors... yeah, i guess im a germ freak. i heard on dr oz that the average person touches the equivalent of 20 private parts a day-just by other ppl not washing their hands after they do business! that grossed me out.

always before i eat, and i keep hand sanitizer in my purse. if someone sneezes in my direction in an aisle i wont go down that aisle until a few mins later.. after all a sneeze can travel 100 feet and stay suspended in the air for a few minutes.

lol no you don't have a problem, i do exactly the same!!! even if i go into a public toilet and i wash my hands i get a paper towel and i open the tap with it then i push open the door with my foot. if im on the train and someone sneezes that's my worse nightmare - once this guy sneezed into my hair because im short and he was taller. and i could feel it!!!! it was disgusting

i was in the grocery store one day and a woman turned to sneeze right IN my face. i swear i was like less than 2 feet from her. i wanted to die. all i could think of is whatever was in her lungs was now on my face lol.. she didnt even apologize or seem to care she did it..

on the other hand, maybe the ppl who DONT wash their hands have quite an immunity built up and never get sick lol...

i was in the grocery store one day and a woman turned to sneeze right IN my face. i swear i was like less than 2 feet from her. i wanted to die. all i could think of is whatever was in her lungs was now on my face lol.. she didnt even apologize or seem to care she did it..

then you start wondering if you'll catch anything from them and if you've got a billion germs all over you right now

1-2 per day, at most. it's funny, the germ freaks are the ones who are always sick everybody needs germs to live a normal healthy life! i practically grew up playing in the dirt as a kid and i can count the number of times ive gotten sick. i have friends that are germ freaks with their kids, and its seems like the whole family is sick 24/7.

people just need to relax and live life. obsessing over germs is no way to live

Honestly, unless I'm using the bathroom, or the dog licks me, or I touch something nasty, I rarely actually WASH my hands. I rinse with water occasionally after eating, though.

I don't care if the dog licks me(it's my apt. with my things what's the worse she could lick....maybe I don't wanna tell that, lol) at all, it's a PUPPY. I would be washing my hands 10X a day just because the dog licks me.....screw that. Water rinsing FTW.

I wash my hands twice a day....maybe. lol At work when I'm done as dog bags for some reason are caked with dust and if my puppy decides to use the bathroom in my apt. I rarely get sick, but when I do(once a year tops if that) it's usually some major stuff.
