How Many To School?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
looking forward to seeing this tank..... :):)

My angels ate all of my neons (12) within 2 weeks. I had success with larger cardinals however. My discus, even the larger ones at over 7 inches never bothered the cardinals.

IMO, rummynose tetras school MUCH better than neons or even cardinals.

sorry to highjack but would different species of tetras still school together as one?

They mingle, but most won't school as one

When Angels get large they pick off even large Cardinals. One by one. It's not pretty! They don't even have to fit in their mouths. They just ambush them and take chunks out of them.

:screwy:Does anyone know where I can get plastic plants cheap. I haven't bough them in a long time but man are they really expensive. I mean, I saw one plant that was about 12 inches tall and looked like thick grass. It was $19.99. I was thinking that I can buy plastic plants, not the ones in the LFS, at Michael's art store. Any other suggestions? Also, how do you check to see if any paint or chemical leeches in water? The Doctor.

Additional note to the Neon Tetra Thread- Golden Wonder Killis do not go well with Neons- Just got some neons yesterday and my killis already ate 2 of 5! I have gold tetras, little guppys, and livebearer fry in the same tank and the killis never touched them! Something about the Neon Tetra must say "Eat Me, Im Pretty!"

Do you mean Walmart's fish department or do they have a section with fake plants?
