During the week, I travel for business. So, I feed 3 to 4 days a week. It's never daily, and even then, I don't feed several times a day. It's just once a day. I also, target feed with a bbq skewer, several fish that are not as aggressive as others.
my baby fish or juviniles are fed 4+ times a day as much as they want as much as they can eat.. but I always watch to make sure it's consumed or i fish it out after about 10 mins. the rest are fed 2x a day and it's a pinch here, handful there.. on with whats next that day. some of my fish are shy and others are not.. so stepping away lets my shy guys eat.
i feed my baby p's twice a day, if im giving pellets i just walk away. if im giving market prawn i leave it in for about 30 mins and it's nearly gone once i remove the rest.
they tend to need to build up a bit of courage before they swim up for their pellets as they are floating pellets...
i feed every other day except for the young ones and or fry.... and i always make sure they eat... if they do not eat..something is wrong and i go hunting for the source of the problem ..such as a dead fish, heater not working etc...and if it is a dead fish i need to do imediate water change... and if they don't eat i stick around because i need to remove the food..nothing will contaminate a tank faster then uneaten food left to decay..
once every day what they want for that one setting is what they get and i dont leave cause i want my fish to be comfortable with some body watching them at all times
I usually don't watch, because the majority of the week is when i have school and homework and other stuff. But during the weekend i find myself staring at them for a long time before and after i feed them.
For the little polypterus-3-4X a day
big delhezi- i skip every other day but i feed 2-3X a day when i do
datnoids-3X a day, but it usually ends up as 1-2X a day
