How much did you spend for fish keeping?

This hobby is expensive and make be depress when I calculate how much I've spent. I just try to avoid spending unnecessary money on fish.
 
including fish food filters heaters tanks pond etc.......around 20k and i bought my first tank in december of 2007.whoever said fish a cheap hobby is full of s#@t.

lol the longer i keep the fish the higher my rate of spending goes


started with a $20 10g starter kit
recently started up two small tanks, bought my first live plants, made a kensfish order, and now im trying to find something to breed :(
 
Maybe like... $900?
Probably less since I get stuff for free.
Thats not including my electric bill of course. :nilly:
 
a couple thousand... i was up to 13 tanks and a pond at one time.. it just keeps adding up thou... but who cares as long as we love what we do :D

worked most of mysummer to buy a 140gl tank

140 gallon tank, stand, canopy used on cl for $300

fish $120 (so far not sure how much ima spend)

and i spent all this without even thinking... wow cant believe how much aquariums can cost

But hey, what the heck we only live once might as wel enjoy it..
 
I can't even guess. I'm thinking this thread is going to depress quite a few people. Seems like if we combined what we have all spent we could buy a small country full of huge tanks ponds and monster fish
