That came out real well. Do you have problems with evaporation inside the garage ?

Like high humidity,etc?
naw...i leave the fan on in the day and turn it off at night. next morning the garage is like 80 dargees.

ok thanks I asked as have cichlids outside in pond but thinking of something like that for snake room which is warm but the humidity factor worried me

no prob....i hope this information helped you CTU2fan....it helped me.

For sure. I think I'm gonna do it, probably in the spring. I'll put my gar in for sure, if I can work out the heater deal I might add some other non-natives but if not it will be my gar and more gar hopefully.

After a hard days work, I consider my pond as therapy. Nothing beats stress and tension as doing half an hour of work on a pond:

Absolutly worth every cent....

I designed the pond to be right next to the patio/fire pit and our master bed room. Next spring I am going to put a patio door or slider from the master out to the patio. During warm spring nights and cool fall evenings, we open our window and sleep w/the waterfall. I have tried to stay awake more than 10 minutes, but its impossible, way to relaxing. Eating dinner in the summer always is out by the pond. Friends always migrate out by the pond. Softball pre-game swing lube is always by the pond. So to say if it is worth it, Most Def.

awesome pond hankn

I have even found one neighbor who wandered into our backyard and fell alseep in a chair enjoying the waterfall and pond.

I agree its worth it. I also think do some research so its what you personally want and you will not regret spending extra to do it right. I would discourage using a pool unless its really only a temporary thing. I had one for a summer to cool off in and after about 3 month it was leaking and done. I think a pool as a pond it would be fun at first, then very frustrating.

The garage idea sounds good.

I've come home to find my Pops sitting by the pond w/my dog(s). My parents just moved into an age restricted community that has no landscaping. Next spring, I am doing a pond-less waterfall next to a big paver patio. Will post step by step pics. of that project.
