How much growth is left?

not really. when i got my RCK, he didnt eat right away. a day after i got him, he picked up shrimp but spit it out. the next day he ate alot of shrimp. give it time.
 
My ck didnt take frozen shrimp the first time. Now he darts for it. Persistance is the key for any fish.

Btw knifefishfan, I freakin love your avatar, I just actually looked at it for the first time. lol
 
I just tried some frozen cooked shrimp. I cut off a small piece. Is it normal for him to lick it?? I've never seen a fish lick food. Then he doubled back and bit off very small pieces. This has to be a good sign. :) He hasnt eaten anything else other then feeders.
 
thanks derekp...i was laughing when i saw it on the interweb. gonna buy the tshirt i saw it on lol. as for the CK, he will eat eventually. he wouldnt starve himself to death. just make sure you pick out the uneaten food if he doesnt eat it.
 
HE ATE THE COOKED SHRIMP!!!!!. I cut up some small pieces and he ate them. Im wondering, should I leave the tail on or cut it off? Im going to try the smelt again today.
 
With the shrimp being more nutrional, he's going to eat less right. The feeders I was giving him were 2.5in and he would eat 3-4 at one time. He's eating 2 shrimp pieces. This is fine right?
 
Yea thats fine. I have never known knifes to overeat. At least mine don't. Feeders have no real nutritional value so you are already doing him a favor by giving him something substantial.
 
I have another question, I want to try uncooked shrimp, is this okay? Seeing as it is raw, there should be more nutritional value to it.
