When it's a hatchery it dosen't count. :) Seriously though, is it a hatchery or is it a LFS? Do you breed the fish on site?

.

All of the above depending on who you are

I keep 40 tanks and think thats about the limit. After my kids are grown and I retire If im still in good health I might do more:naughty:

im jealous i only have 6 tanks right now and one is empty

Number of tanks is one thing, how many gallons all-up is another!! You might have 50 tanks, but if you only keep killie fish then you might have less water than someone with one monster tank.

I've got an 80g, + a 40g and 30g growing fish out for the 'main tank'. I'm planning a ~220g tank soon, and I'll keep the 80g to grow up a heap of loaches, plus keep some smaller fish.

My average size tanks are probably the 20 450gal tanks. I have a bunch in the smaller 100-200gal range and a couple larger than 450. The largest tank running is a 650 tropical gar tank.

oddball wins.
Myself, only four, 75, 55, 30, and 10 for the amphibians. If you're barely keeping up, you don't need more.

I have 9 running right now,but before i moved i had 21 running with 1,500 gallon pond i will easily max that again if not more in the future.I just had to down size while moving and new baby, but i feel everyone has adjusted so i will start adding soon.

How does one man manage all this ...:nilly: :headbang2 I would say as long as you can afford it and as long as you can maintain {most important} and you have good knowledge of fish keeping and are just dedicated to it.. the numbers are not an object to concern your self with.

Wow ... my wife needs to read this .. she thinks my 4 are too much
