How Much Is Too Much??

I used to run about 20 tanks myself....***** to keep up on my schedule and an ice storm about 2 winters ago took care of the mass majority of my tanks it completely wiped them out in a 3 day poweroutage in 0degree weather and no heat. I had maybe 15 fish out of well over 100...so Ive dramatically cut back my stock...and am very content with what I have now. My tanks used to be more of a breeding setup with Discus, Angelfish, Corydoras, Oscars, Damselfish and Seahorses...with a couple of show tanks. Now theyre all show tanks with the exception of my recent addition of a 10G with some Convict fry. Im hoping to get a pair to rear quality feeders for my predators

what a loss
is that why your avator is march killer..that is when we have our "ICE STORMS"?It was a loss, I almost quit fishkeeping after that. My main loss was at the time my 150G was a reef tank...loosing a couple grand worth of reef predators and corals and live rock is kind of a kick in the pants to say the least Nah...my user name stands for "Murder Cute Happy Rape Killer" Its a line from a favorite song of mine But I cant honestly remember what month the icestorm that wiped out my fish happened in...I think it may have been Feb or March tho.

when you notice your house foundation has sunken a few inches thats the time to only get maybe one more...

Well, people will always call you crazy for keeping lots of fish, because most people don't appreciate fish. I say keep as many as you please, but not to the point that everywhere you go you hear a loud filter, or if you have too many. You should have time for every single fish.
Well I have 7 tanks up and running right now. With two in the works. I think it's too much when you dont have anymore room or resources for more tanks.
