My pacu nipped on my silver aro's barbels... this is quite often but now I just wanna make sure it heals properly so Im gonna try using salt.. How much salt should i use?

Clean water is fine. Adding salt is not obligatory but if you insist, dose a teaspoon per gallon and be sure to dissolve first before adding to the tank. Keep the fish separated. It's obviously not working.
my aro has been fine with it.. but jus now it woulddnt eat so im staartting to worry.. theres no more space for the pacus so they r nt seeperated
How will you expect the barbels and other injuries to heal if the fish in question is harassed constantly? Stressed fish do not recover as fast as well rested ones are. Can you not get back up setups for the aggressors?
Ok not that often.. normally the aro heals his barbels or after a month or so it will get nipped again Im selling the pacus as soon as my camera is repaired Im just asking about the salt not the pacu... Thanks everyone..
Bensow.. hi.. no offense mate.. there is a direct link between your pacus and the aros barbels getting injured.. BUT what has your camera got to do with selling your pacu???? I could've voiced my comment without knowing your situation.. apologies for that.. i think almost everyone has given their suggestions on salt.. nothin new for me to say.. please try to give the pacu away, pronto. cheers.
Use a tablespoon per 5 gallon plus metafix and crank your heat up to 88 degrees. I speak from experience. GL
