you should always keep the tank fully covered to prevent jumping, no matter what. and the barbel will be straight no matter what

how would covering the tank help with the barbels going straight?

I read it in MFK one of the threads saying that if you cover the whole tank darkening it, the aro will rely on its barbels for hunting more than its sight so that someway helps the barbels to grow straight.. dunno if this is true so i thought id discuss it here...
