How much should I ask for my Flowerhorn?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This is simular to what he said, the weight calculations were an estemated example to show the added "nutrient" content by eating less moisture % and more worms.

I would not even know what to say if he is correct. But I doubt it. Just because the fish eats more worms, doesn't mean it has more nutrition value and protein value. When your actually comparing the two together, I'm pretty darn sure 1 live earth worm contains more nutrients and proteins than 1 freeze dried earth worm. Pretty much the same concept as eating fully cooked fish and sashimi...which do you think actually gives more protein in general? Protein value, it always starts out with the most unprocessed to have the highest percentage.
P.S. - Freeze Dried can give flowerhorn bloat due to the fact that they can contain air.

I try not to guess or think what my opinion is just look at facts, the breeder I speak of has never steered me wrong so I accept his expierence but hard scientific fact will be the end all. Freeze drying and cooking are very different. Protein is not destroyed in the process , only moisture removed, just look at the analysis on a frozen vs freeze dried food of your choice moisture content will be at a high % in frozen and nutrient content will be the same. Lol with the bloat, iv fed large quantities of fz dried mysis and earth worms for years with only positive results. Well have to use documented facts to disprove this proven theory.

http://www.livestrong.com/article/409547-do-dehydrated-foods-lose-their-nutritional-value/ read this carefully, explains how nutrients are condensed into a smaller mass when dehydrating, also explains the difference between type dehydrating process and how it affects the retention and destruction of nutritional content. If you get the correctly dehydrated foods what I explain in earlier posts will b 100 percent fact
