How Much Should I Sell My Arowana For?

Here is a pic. I plan to cut his bottom fins off and let them grow back before selling him.
Might help to say where you are. Here in NZ, and from the looks of that it's not your standard Silver arowana I'd probably say $ 500+ usd.

No need to cut any fins that would be cruel and unneccesarry.

Clove oil puts the fish to sleep and gives you some time to operate on the fish without harm. The fish doesn’t feel it. Thanks for the price suggestion though. When I go to sell it to my lfs , should I suggest the price or should I let them.
Clove oil is used to sedate fish... I wouldn’t be using that on a fish that I plan on keeping alive. As far a a price you’ll be lucky to get 100 from a private buyer. A lfs isn’t going to pay you anything to take a fish that you can’t keep anymore. If you have a good relationship with them you might get $50 store credit.
LFS get those much cheaper. They probably get them $20 from their supplier maybe cheaper. My lfs would sell arowana that size for $30.
You can sell it to your lfs but you'd probably be able to sell it at a better price on Craigslist. Check out the posts on Craigslist for your area to see what the going rate is.
