Watch the other two vids then...I have done it (drilled my tank) with jumpy Arowanas in the tank before...zero problems...the shavings off the glass, are finer and less abrasive than sand...
Interesting. I wasn't planning on drilling the tank but I just might. How did you do it while the tank was still standing? My tank is empty right now but I it's really heavy and I don't want to lay it on its side.

Also I don't see what the gph is of the overflow. I see one is 1500gph. Would that mean I would need 2 overflows and I would have to drill 4 holes? Even doing that wouldn't get me over 3600 gph that the pump pushes.

They have a kit that has everything needed to drill and install the overflows for a Reeflo Dart pump including the Pump itself.
it's right here

All you do when drilling the holes is to keep the holesaw wet...a spray bottle with a squirt twice a minute is fine. You just want to keep the holesaw cool and the dust wet...

you got to remember there is going to be friction loss and you will be netting less than 3600GPH by time you add f/l for gravity, elbows, runs of pipe. That is with any pump, and not all are equal. Some pumps drop gph dramatically with a bit of head pressure (back pressure)

Here is a close up of how big just one of those Bulkheads are @ 1.5"...1.5inch bulkhead.jpg
and there are 2 of those only they are the 2" size...that's like having a hole the size your fist can pass through....that is alot of water...

hey guys a lil off subject but since im doing a stingray tank what is the perfect temp for them to thrive in??????

No that's a dual 1500gph overflow....
How high up from the pump placement will you put your returns?

So it would push a total of 3000 gph? I didn't realize that being dual flow would double it.

Would that mean a Continuous Siphon Overflow that is

1" Double Bulkhead, 1500 gph. Would that mean it is really 3000 gph?
