How much will liner cost for my pond?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
92 x 9

9 x 8 = 72 sq. meters

72 x cost/sq. meter price = final cost.

I would look at EPMD instead. Much more flexable, easier to work with, and longer lasting. PVC is commonly used in commercial/large scale ponds such as golf courses and industrial retaining ponds since it is cheaper.

If I do it a 3x3x1 pond, it will be 360 dollars. I will just do a 3x3x1 (9.8x9.8x3.2 feet), then I can make the pond. Can I keep all these fish in a 3x3x1:

*Fish Name (Amount)*
Glass Shrimp (150)
White Cloud Mountain Minnow (75)
Clown Loach (6)
Electric Yellow Cichlid (2)
Electric Blue Cichlid (2)
Freshwater Angelfish (12)
Cyphotilapia Frontosa (2)
Silver Arowana (1)
Saratoga Leichardti (1)

calculators are neat. you gonna factor in filtration, food, and water changes?

Yeah, maybe you should go backwards. Start off with how much you can spend(before fish) and figure out how much you can spend on each item.

You're going to need
Liner
landscaping material
Pump
Aeration
Piping
valves
Bio Filter
Mechanical Filter
Plant Life

Muske is right I would go with the EPMD liner, btw.

I have built 3 ponds in the past 10 years here in California. I tried 3 different kinds of liners, but by far the toughest and cheapest is a material call PPL24. It's sold by a company called Bendtarp. It's UV proof, puncture proof, durable and cheap. It's amazing stuff.

I bought more of it 2 years ago at 41 cents per square foot.

Here is a link (I don't work for the company):
